Have you ever wanted to curl up and die from physical exhaustion but also couldn’t stop cheesin’ like a fool at the same time?
That was my first experience with 305 Fitness back in January. It. Was so. Hard. But also I fell in love and became obsessed. Even with my Equinox membership, I still take 305 classes on the reg. Now, even though it’s still an extreme workout, I have so much freaking fun during the 55-minute class. Let’s break 305 down:
305 Fitness. 305, you know, like the Miami area code. Think: in-studio DJ and dance moves that equal major, intense cardio. Like a dance party! Lots of pop, lock and dropping. Lots of jumping. Lots of peer and teacher encouragement, high fives, woo’s and claps. Oh, and five minutes of weighted, isolated movements (example: yesterday was ass day, so we did weighted leg lifts).
Make Sweat Sexy. I’m never going to go so far as to say sweat is sexy. I, however, feel great after a 305 class, so maybe that’s the “sexy” part of the equation. I will also say nothing makes me sweat the way 305 does…legit my whole entire ponytail gets drenched. You really feel like you worked it. This bold phrase actually lines up with the whole 305-brand. It’s all so fierce, and everything about it makes you want to throw your S’well and towel aside to hit the dance floor JLo status.
In my personal opinion, 305 is way more fun with friends. I’ve gone alone, with one friend and with a group, and it’s one of those things that fall under the the more the merrier category.
