One of my favorite parts about the holiday season is gifting. There is nothing like that feeling of finding the perfect gift for someone, and presenting it to them with joy. That’s probably why I take such pride in my gift presentation. I genuinely enjoy wrapping gifts, and make each year a little different with a color scheme or theme. I also end up wrapping most of my mom’s and sister’s gifts…which I totally love doing. Here are my selections for this year’s wrappings.
I don’t by people outside of my immediate family gifts, so picking out the right cards is important to me. They’re what I send to everyone: friends, family, co-workers, etc. In the past, I’ve used Kate Spade cards. They’re wonderfully pretty and made of such good quality. Last year, I used Bryant Park Winter Village vendor R. Nichols. I was obsessed, especially because they support shopping small, but they were so expensive I had to cut people off of my card list.
So this year, I’m going with the designers at Paper Source. I adore these Joyful Trees cards, and right now they’re 50% off! The trees are so holiday-significant, and go so well with my wrapping paper choice.
Photographer extraordinaire Gray Malin released wrapping paper this year! I jumped on that so fast, because I knew I had to have it. I tend to spend a little more on my paper, because again, I only gift for about eight people. Unfortunately it is sold out now, but maybe more will come back in stock! But anyway, I bought the Apres Ski rolls, which are aerial views of skiiers and trees (see the connection with the cards?). I also bought twine instead of ribbon this year, and am considering a trip to an art store for fake berries for garnish. We’ll see.
