I have the world’s most sensitive skin ever. Things that make me itchy (sorry for the visual): Hair removal. Exfoliation. Exercise (the sweat). Travel. Temperature changes. With the s-word (summer) now in the past, my tan is fading and my body is flippin’
uncomfortable itchy. I am always interested in trying new products to provide moisture to my skin – but guys I do not want a lengthy skincare regiment so if you recommend anything to me, make it simple!
For a little over two weeks now, I’ve been lathering my skin with all-natural coco oil. Aside from a simple routine, I appreciate an all-natural product. What goes on the skin goes in, and I try to be mindful of that. Anyway, coco oil is one of the most hydrating oils I’ve ever used. I’m especially fond of Organic to Green’s non-fragranced one (although I’m dying to try their vanilla chamomile sensitive & soothing one for nighttime!).
At first, my skin lapped up the oil…I even used my regular moisturizer (Kiehl’s body butter) on top of it. As week one went on, I stopped noticing my extra-itchy spots – upper arms, neck, legs. By the end of week two, my skin stays a little oily, I’m assuming ’cause my skin is becoming properly nourished. Yay, healthy skin!
I’m going to do my best to stick with the oil treatment, as the weather continues to change. Organic to Green‘s products are travel friendly, so I’ve really got no excuses.
OtG also sent me a couple of bath bombs. I swear these are somehow made of just essential oils – my skin was slippery-soft as soon as I climbed out of the tub! This pink one smelt so good, just like tangerines, but it kind of freaked me out a little bit bathing in orange water. Little things.
Oh, it’s also ironic that the book I was reading during this Organic to Green trial period was Cat Marnell’s memoir. She used to be a beauty editor and I was sampling beauty products – worlds collide!
special thanks to Organic to Green for providing the products for this post!
