I feel like it was just yesterday that I was writing my October in Review post. This year is literally flying by. After this one, there will only be one more post of this nature before I switch this series up…which leads me to sharing the month’s updates with you! Mostly keeping it about the blog, because that’s where the biggest changes are.
Blog Update: If you’re a frequent follower, you may have noticed a couple of changes are sort of happening. And if you’re a new follower, you probably think I have no sense of theme. I’m in the process of re-branding. My designer and I are putting the final touches on the new theme…I ordinarily would black-out the site during this process, but I didn’t want to miss out on holiday content.
I’m also teaching myself Photoshop and photo editing skills. Therefore, some photos may look a little different, but I’m still figuring out the overall look I’m going for. I think I’ll be able to tell better once the new header is up.
Lastly, weekly newsletters and a Facebook page are live! You’ll notice the About page and sidebar have changed, and that’s because I’m really trying to transform this site into a place you come for for real, attainable inspiration. You don’t need to make a million to live like a million bucks!
And reading! Well. I can officially say I finished my Goodreads reading challenge! 40 books completed! My personal goal was to surpass my challenge, but I’m not going to try to push myself too hard. Maybe I’ll end the year with 41 or 42, and either way, I’ll be happy.
Travel Update: So I did not get to Philly this month like I kind of intended, and I’m not going anywhere in December. However, In January, I’m going back to Charleston and February, San Francisco and Newport Beach, CA to start. I’m so looking forward to both of those, and with the holidays in December, I’ll be thankful I can stay local and celebrate.
A few quick personal notes: I have been promoted to the VP of the Pajama Program Young Professionals Board and have started searching for my next apartment. Also, I have donated/sold 90% of my wardrobe – I buy things that last, then they all die around the same time – so I’ve been in closet refresh mode. I’ll share these staple (and some fun!) pieces with you as we move forward with the new theme.
