OCTOBER! First of all, Happy Halloween! I’m going to throw it out there and say October was my favorite month of 2017 thus far. I traveled a lot, saw a bunch of friends, went to random NYC events and my sister got engaged! I never add additional pics into these posts, but look. I’m so happy for her I can’t.

I’m also a little bummed, ’cause everything I was looking forward to all month is now in the past 🙁 As of now, November is a little quiet for me (jinx, watch). Here, expect to transition into holiday mode mid-month. Not sure how many gift guides I’m going to do this year, but if you have one in mind, let me know!
Entertainment Update: Okay so, not really a lot of time for entertainment this month. What I did do was start the Netflix series Mindhunter. Give it until episode 5 before you make a decision about whether or not to continue. I also started Stranger Things, season 1 because I never thought I’d like it, but I felt left out. I’m obsessed. Watch, I’ll finish it tonight (4 eps left).
I’m also proofreading Cujo, the Stephen King book, and it’s my first time reading Stephen. I’m a fan! Definitely ready to start getting into darker books (my fave this time of year). I’ll share a list of some of my favorites with you in November! Also, I have one book left to reach my Goodreads 2017 goal!
*Note: this book comes out in January 2018, and I read it because Simon & Schuster employees got advanced copies. I recommend it!
Also also, as of today, obsessed with Chris Brown’s new album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon.
Style Update: Oh my gosh, guys, fall is finally upon us. I’m so happy it’s boot and outerwear season. Things I’m loving right now are textured pants, such as these, these and these. And smoking slippers, such as these and these. I wish this pair had a different design, but I’m sure I can find a similar pair! I’ll let you know.
Travel Update: This past month I went to Charleston (covered in my September update) and Washington D.C. Like I said in my post about the D.C. architecture, I have to stop back-burnering our capital and visit more often! I’m pretty sure out of all of 2017, D.C. was my favorite weekend.
Upcoming, I have nothing (sadly) planned. With the holidays and a bigger trip abroad early in 2018 (more on this soon), I don’t want to make myself crazy! I do, however, plan on spending a day down in Philadelphia this month just for fun.
